Telemedicine
Scope of Service
To better service our patients, PGI offers the option of remote visits. Using e-conferencing technology, you now can discuss your medical needs with our physicians from the comfort of your own home or office. This option is best suited for non-urgent or chronic issues/concerns that does not require a physical examination. Currently this service is only offering to patients residing in California.
Please note, the following conditions are NOT appropriate for Telemedicine appointments and should be addressed in person.
- Any acute issues that started within the past week (e.g., abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, fever, yellow jaundice, etc.)
- Any active discomfort that has been on-going and is getting worse (e.g., dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, dehydration, etc.)
- Any degree of GI bleeding (e.g., black stool, bloody stool, red blood on toilet paper, vomiting blood or dark material that looks like coffee-ground, etc.)
- Anything that needs to be examined (e.g., a hernia, a lump anywhere, “hemorrhoid”, a painful spot, etc.)
Please call PGI at (650) 365-3700 and make an office appointment.
